Writing is:
a. Like trying to find a needle in a haystack
b. Easy peasy lemon squeezy
If you picked “a” over “b” (and something tells me you picked a), I feel you!
I’ve been a pro writer for more than a decade now and I’ve been just about every type of writer you can think of: a travel writer, a journalist, a business writer, a copywriter, a ghost writer and most recently, an author.
I’m here to tell you that no matter how many hours of writing you have under your belt, no matter how many years you’ve been doing it, writing—especially if you’re writing from the heart—can be one of the toughest, most challenging things you can ever do.
As writer Gene Fowler put it— “Writing is easy. All you do is stare at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead.” 😂
BUT it’s not all bad news.
I’ve found that writing can be pleasurable and dare I even say it—easy—when you work with a surprisingly easy-to-do practice.
I’ve used this method countless times over the years and it never fails to simplify the writing process and release that feeling of anxiety and stress that block creative flow.
I’m sharing this powerful little writing practice to help the words flow like a river of milk and honey in today’s audio note. Listen and let me know what you think!
