I’ve been thinking of what to write today and I’ve been like, “What can I say that will be important and useful… something that will be worth your time.”
Then it hit me – it’s not about being world-changing and brilliant every time. It’s about being REAL.
And the most real thing I can share with you right now? I’m an honest-to-goodness author and sometimes I don’t feel like one!
I know I wrote Manifest Anything You Want and I’m deeply grateful and happy this work is out in the world (I’m starting to hear back from people who are reading it and it makes me want to cry sometimes – so many people love this book 😍)
And yet, at times, it feels like this is all happening to someone else.
When I first received the book and held her in my hands (you can see my unboxing video here on Instagram) I was SO excited and at the same time it almost felt like it was someone else’s book.
It’s why I’ve taken to mining for glimmers. ✨✨✨
You’ve probably heard of “triggers” and how “triggering” moments, memories or experiences can instantly drop you into anger, irritation or anxiety.
Glimmers are the exact opposite.
It’s a beautiful concept by author and clinician Deb Dana and it’s about noticing small, happy moments in your day – moments that help you build joyful resilience and signal safety to your nervous system .
I’ve been focusing on glimmers peppered throughout my week and I’ve been breathing in and embodying each one with 1 Healing Breath.
I started a weekly Glimmer Goldmine collection recently as a way to remind myself of all the little things going right in my life, including past wins and everyday joys.
Here’s a peek at my Glimmer Goldmine:
❤️ Listening to my kitty cat Queensie purr so loudly her little body literally vibrates with joy
❤️ Receiving loving voice messages from beloved friends on the other side of the world
❤️ Finding a gorgeous dress on sale at my favorite boutique
❤️ That moment when I’m writing and the words just flow through me. Pure magic.
These little moments? They’re everything to me.
I’ve found that my Glimmer Goldmine + the 1 Healing Breath practice works like an invisible cloak of protection…
It helps to dissolve self-doubt, and it helps me feel safely anchored into this reality where I’m doing great, knowing that I absolutely deserve this joy I feel about being an author.
